| Upon impersonating Jimmy Carter at three
years old it was obvious that Erin Brown had natural instincts
for comedy. She tried out her early bits on her imaginary friend
Billy Butler and her big Irish Catholic family in New Jersey.
After dropping Billy Butler (2 years of commitment were enough),
her Jersey bangs (too much Aqua Net maintenance), and the Space
Cadet title of her high school class (she still intends to get a
recount) she began doing improv and sketch comedy. Erin trained with all the greats at Gotham City Improv, Upright Citizens Brigade, Chicago City Limits, and the Groundlings. Stand up, improv, and sketch comedy have taken her to lots of cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, LA, Orlando, Atlanta, & Quito, Ecuador. Currently, she procrastinates between NY and Los Angeles. When she gets off the plane, (if she didn’t miss it), you can catch her act all over New York City and LA. When she’s not performing stand up or sketch comedy, you can hear her doing voice overs, and original monologues (usually pleas to LA parking enforcers to avoid another Jay Walking ticket.) Erin may look like the girl-next-door, but she’s way more than apple pie and county fairs. She’ll challenge you to a thumb wrestle or beer pong while wearing stilettos and lip gloss. Her sassy sensibility, free-spirited & totally lazy, uh, laid back attitude, and quirky impressions keep crowds cracking up. A trained actor (William Esper Studio), Erin has been in numerous independent films and can be seen and heard on television and radio. Recently, she appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and FOX’s Good Day NY. A graduate of Boston College, Erin lives with her numerous original characters in her Manhattan and Los Angeles apartments. |
